Environmental monitoring and deforestation control: Norte Energia maintains 26,000 hectares of Permanent Preservation Area (PPA) around the Belo Monte Complex reservoirs, with an average width of 500 meters, aiming to protect water quality and the entire aquatic ecosystem.

In 2024, the Company contributed BRL 16 million for the development of 16 RDI projects. Of these, six were completed in 2024, nine are scheduled for completion in 2025, and one in 2027.
Norte Energia has robust governance and fiscal control structures, comprised of the Supervisory Board and the Audit, Compliance and Risk Committee, responsible for periodically overseeing audit management and tax risk assessment.
